An Important component of the Stockton Blvd Partnership success is the external advocacy in behalf of property owners. Attending public/government meetings, speaking to the community and community Leaders is a vital part of the strength and growth of the economic redevelopment of the Stockton Blvd Business Corridor.
The Stockton Boulevard Partnership has maintained visibility through attendance at meetings, participation in events, involvement with community organizations, and engaging property owners as much as possible as well as through the publication of the Stockton Boulevard Partnership programs and projects. Several avenues have been used to accomplish this including publications, website, media, and public meetings.
Publications- The Stockton Blvd Partnership Staff developed a newsletter that is sent out monthly to all business, property owners and residents in the PBID, as well as the organization associated with Stockton Boulevard Partnership. The newsletter has several components: A cover page providing information is directed towards business owners, business tips, featured businesses, and a calendar with important meeting dates. The publication is in collaboration with the Oak Park Business Association, a neighboring PBID.
Website Development - The development of the website is on going. This is a place were the community at large is able to see what projects The Partnership is working on or completed, view our current Board of Directors, contact us, view the newsletter and important meeting dates.
Community Meetings- Staff currently attends public, government and community meetings during each month to gather information and listen to the community goals, desires, and needs. Constant daily contact is made through emails and phone calls This allows the Stockton Boulevard Partnership to maintain relevancy to the area.
Board Meetings- All Stockton Boulevard Partnership Board Meetings are held on a quarterly basis and are open to the public; meeting times are posted on the website, and on the marque at the Stockton Blvd Resource Center. The Stockton Boulevard Partnership Executive Meeting meets monthly on the months between the Full Board meeting and are open to the public as well.
