Image and Maintenance
Have you notice the cleanliness of Stockton Boulevard lately? That's because of our cleanup and maintenance crew headed by Hilary Gould (former County Neighborhood Services Representative and volunteer). The hard working crew is assigned to pick up litter along the boulevard daily between 7:00am and 3:00pm.
Streetscape Improvements along the corridor have also brighten the Boulevards appearance. The Stockton Blvd project brought 100 new palms, new medians, curbs, gutters and sidewalks on both sides of Stockton all the way from Broadway to 65th Street. This landscaping project was funded by contributions from the City of Sacramento, Sacramento County, Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, and the Stockton Boulevard Partnership.
With the help of Sacramento Regional Transit District, trash can receptacles were installed at each bus stop as well as various locations along the Blvd. This helps maintain our clean sidewalks and streets by giving pedestrians a place to disgard trash.
